Burnley chief Paul Fletcher admits the board are proud of what manager Owen Coyle is achieving.
Coyle will mark two years in charge at Turf Moor this weekend.
Fletcher told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Owen tips the balance whatever he does. He has proved you can get into the Premier League without a multi-million pound overdraft and proved you can win games there without a sizeable wage bill.
"He's doing it his way.
"He's been on coaching courses like everyone else, and I'm sure he has met ignorant, arrogant managers who are getting results. Players don't like these guys but respect them because they are getting results.
"You don't have a happy dressing room or a happy club; just one that's towards the top of the table.
"We're proud of Owen Coyle."
