Burnley boss Owen Coyle says his players are looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Premier League. The Clarets will open up their competitive campaign on 15th August at Stoke City.

"You look at Stoke and you know how difficult a game that will be," Coyle told Sky Sports News. "They had a tremendous home record last year and how well they acquitted themselves.

"It will be a tough opening, but it's one we're looking forward to.

"We all know we'll be playing against the best players, against the best teams and in the best league in the world.

"You can't ask for any more. What we have to do is make sure we are in games and do enough to try and win enough points to stay in it."
