Burnley boss Sean Dyche says Jeff Hendrick shouldn't be compared with Joey Barton.
Burnley swooped for the Republic of Ireland international after Joey Barton, a key man in their Championship title winning season, opted for a summer move to Rangers.
But Dyche does not see the 24-year-old as a like-for-like replacement.
“He's not similar to Joey, he's a different player and completely different character and he (Barton) won't mind me saying that," said the Burnley boss.
“They're both good players and he has a drive and a will to keep improving. I like that side of him.
“Joey had that, despite his age he was enthralled by what we would do and what we could offer. Jeff's a version of that."
