Burnley boss Dyche won't consider Rodriguez alternatives

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is expected to snub the chance of re-signing Liverpool striker Danny Ings.

Ings is set to leave Liverpool this summer having become frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities at Anfield.

But the Lancashire Telegraph reports Burnley currently have no interest in bringing the 25-year-old back to the club as they focus on a return for another former striker, in Jay Rodriguez, instead.

Ings scored 43 goals in 130 games for the Clarets before moving to Liverpool at the end of his contract, with the £6.5million fee set by a tribunal.

Burnley also have no interest in Cardiff City attacker Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, despite being linked with a move for the 26-year-old this week.
