Burnley boss Sean Dyche is shocked by the asking price of his transfer targets.
Dyche is eager to add some fresh faces to his squad to give them a fighting chance of staying in the Premier League after losing their opening two games.
"There's lots of players being linked with the club at the moment," Dyche said.
"Some of the figures being quoted are bizarre. We are in the market, we are trying to be active but I conduct myself with a manner where we concentrate on ourselves.
"We are focusing on our in-house players. It's a tough market. We are trying to be flexible - the numbers have surprised the board a bit.
"They have to be players that can improve the group. We try to do it with a budget requirement of the club."
