Burnley boss Sean Dyche admitted that Aberdeen pushed his team hard into extra time before the Clarets went into the next qualifying round of the Europa League 4-2 on aggregate after a 3-1 success at Turf Moor.
"Credit to Aberdeen, they were a credit tonight, and over both games. They certainly came out to make a game of it but you still need that bit of luck.
"There were some interesting decisions but we finally got a penalty, even if there were other decisions that didn't do us any favours.
"Equally their keeper was outstanding but we kept probing and looking to break them down. Overall I'm very pleased with a tricky tie. It's on my CV a win in Europe!"
