Burnley boss Sean Dyche admits this summer's market was the toughest he's experienced.
Complicating matters was Burnley's early Europa League commitments.
Dyche told the Daily Star: “It's probably been the most trying transfer window I have been through as a manager.
“A few of the more experienced managers I keep in touch with said that it's been the worst they have witnessed.
“It's very, very difficult. We are going to have to dig in in the next few weeks until players come back to full fitness."
