Burnley manger Sean Dyche was thrilled with the winter signings of Ashley Westwood and Robbie Brady.
Midfielder Westwood has joined the Clarets from Aston Villa while Irish winger Brady has arrived from Norwich City for a club-record fee believed to be around £13million.
"Westy is a good ball player, a technician, he keeps it, he's got a will and desire to work and he's relatively experienced as well in the Premier League," Dyche said.
"He's got to earn the right, as has Robbie. He is a different type, he can play in a couple of different positions and was hungry with a desire to be back in the Premier League and we want him to take on that challenge.
"Robbie is slightly different; he can play in variety of positions, he can deliver crosses, he can carry the ball.
"It's been a tough deal to get through, that one, and we're delighted to have him and Ashley here.
"They both have different strengths to them, and they add to the group - and I mean that because I believe in the group."
