Burnley boss Dyche delighted to land desire and experience of Defour

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is delighted to have acquired the services of midfielder Steven Defour from Anderlecht.

Dyche believes that the Belgium international's desire and experience will immensely help the Clarets in the Premier League.

"Steven was a target of ours and it's been a hard deal to do, but we got there in the end," he told the club's official website.

"He's a good player with a depth of experience at international level and also Champions League.

"Steven is new to the Premier League but has a real thirst and desire to be successful in this campaign."

Former Standard Liege and Porto star Defour, 28, has joined the Lancashire outfit for a club-record of over £7million having spent the past two seasons with Belgian giants Anderlecht.
