Burnley manager Owen Coyle insists he is delighted Steven Caldwell has been recalled to the Scotland squad.

Caldwell was left sidelined for six weeks after his last international appearance.

Coyle insists his player's inclusion in George Burley's squad is well deserved. He said: "As we know the skipper got injured when he was away in Norway and we missed him for six weeks or so.

"But he has come back and he's been outstanding for me from day one as a captain and we are absolutely thrilled he's back in the squad."
