Burnley boss Owen Coyle is being linked with a shock move to Bolton Wanderers.
The Sun says the Scot, 43, is the top choice of Trotters' chairman Phil Gartside to succeed axed Gary Megson and a deal could be finalised this weekend.
Last night the odds on Coyle re-joining his old club plunged from 12-1 to 1-5 on, with some bookies suspending betting.
Only 24 hours earlier Coyle had ruled himself out of the running by saying: "I always concentrate on the job I've got - and that's here at Burnley."
But the man who played 54 league games up front for Bolton in the mid-90s looks to have had a shock change of heart after it emerged he was ahead of Alan Curbishley and Peter Reid on Gartside's wish list.
