Burnley boss Owen Coyle would like to turn David Nugent's loan deal from Portsmouth into a permanent move. The England cap has scored two goals since his arrival at Turf Moor and came off the bench in Saturday's draw with Aston Villa.
"David Nugent is a top-class player. If I could get him in permanently tomorrow I would love to do it.
"He is probably similar to one or two others in that he is a bit frustrated. But that is what we want - competition for places."
