Scotland coach George Burley is determined to help Birmingham City attacker James McFadden find his best form.
Where best to play McFadden has been a regular dilemma for many of his managers in recent years but Burley is just glad to have the Birmingham City player fit again and available for duty.
"We want to get the best out of James McFadden," Burley said. "There is no doubt that James has got great ability and he has done brilliantly for Scotland.
"Ask David Moyes, ask Alex McLeish, and they'll tell you he can play in various roles. It's about what's best for the team, not an individual, but there is no doubt that James has that ability to do something unusual - something that can open the door for you and he can score you a goal.
"We've seen James play in different areas. For this game, we'll be looking at something different to the areas where I've played him. Let's see how well it works."
