Frankie Bunn has quit his coaching post at Newcastle United - just three months into the job.
The Evening Chronicle says Bunn - the man who once famously netted six times in a Littlewoods Cup tie against Scarborough for Oldham Athletic - has quit Tyneside to take a role as assistant manager of Rochdale.
Bunn will join Spotland boss John Eyre at Rochdale leaving United with a gap in their coaching system.
United said in a statement: "We wish him well in his new role."
