Blackburn Rovers striker Maceo Rigters could be on the way to Germany.

The Lancashire Evening Telegraph says the Dutch Under 21 international, who has struggled to make an impression in England since arriving from NAC Breda last summer, is believed to be wanted by a club in the Bundesliga.

The mystery German team are keen to take the 24-year-old on loan for the rest of the season after he has failed to force his way into the first team at Rovers.

And manager Mark Hughes could be willing to sanction the deal, believing the Dutchman may benefit from a spell of regular football elsewhere.
