Jimmy Bullard was delighted to inspire Hull City to victory over Stoke yesterday.
For Bullard, victory was the icing on the cake after enduring a 10-month injury lay-off before making his home debut.
"It's incredibly tight down at the bottom of the league but a few wins can make all the difference and boost your confidence," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"The win will bring a massive lift and if we can build on our home form and get some points behind us, we can believe in ourselves quietly.
"It's important not to get carried away but I thought we played some great stuff. We got the ball in and around the front men's feet and they didn't like it at all."
