Gigi Buffon insists Juventus aren't in the mix to win the Scudetto this season.

After Saturday's 0-0 draw at AC Milan, the star goalkeeper declared: "We make sure opponents respect us and have ended each game against the big clubs with our heads held high.

"This side has the right mentality and can get some great results. We should continue along this path. However, the Scudetto is not for us. Just making the other teams fear and respect us is a success for a newly-promoted outfit."

Buffon was instrumental in keeping a clean sheet during last night's 0-0 with Milan, as he performed crucial saves on Kaka and Pippo Inzaghi.

"This was an odd game, as without too many scoring opportunities, myself and Nelson Dida had to be ready at all times. I am never happy with my performances, I'm only content when we pick up points and play well."
