Gianluigi Buffon would never have swapped Juventus for Manchester City despite the money on offer, reports the Daily Mail. City were keen to take Buffon to Eastlands in a deal that included a £20million transfer fee and a £13m annual salary for the Italian keeper.
"Manchester City were interested, but with all respect, it was not for me.
"I have a family and things to think about, I would never have gone, even if they doubled my wages. With all respect for money, some things in life are priceless."
