Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon insists their Scudetto bid is not over.

"Things are hard for us now because nine points is a big gap," the Azzurri No 1 admitted to the Corriere dello Sport.

"However, there is no need for us to give up hope. We are a team full of fighters and it isn't over yet.

"On a personal level, I made a few mistakes against Sampdoria and Cagliari and I expect more from myself."

Buffon also commented on Adriano's goal against Milan, which seemed to be scored with his hand.

"I always try and see the best in people and having seen the goal on TV I think it's obvious he didn't mean to handle the ball - these things are just part and parcel of the game."
