Both goalkeepers Dida and Gianluigi Buffon were the major protagonists in a game which could have gone either way, but ended, rightly, with a share of the spoils.
Alessandro Del Piero, for the second match in succession, had to settle for a place on the bench with Vincenzo Iaquinta and David Trezeguet forming the Bianconeri front line.
And the latter had an excellent early opportunity to put the visitors ahead, striking a sweet volley against the right upright and Iaquinta was just inches away from connecting with the rebound.
Buffon proved his worth to Juve with a succession of crucial saves, first parrying Kaka's close-range volley and then denying Milan substitute Filippo Inzaghi in similar fashion.
Alberto Gilardino's goal on the rebound of the first save was cancelled for offside.
Milan rallied late and Kaka and Inzaghi both threatened Buffon's goal, but neither was unable to break the deadlock.
