Buffon absence for Juventus victory sparks Roma move rumours

Gigi Buffon's absence from the Juventus line-up for victory at AS Roma has sparked rumours of talks with the Giallorossi over a summer switch. The Juve No1 is a top target for new Roma owner Thomas di Benedetto.

The goalkeeper has returned to his very best form in recent weeks, but mysteriously was missing for victory yesterday.

Juve later announced Buffon, while with the travelling party, was withdrawn due to a bout of flu.

However, his absence has fueled talk in both Rome and Turin that he is already in negotiations with Di Benedetto about an end of season deal.
