"I'm happy to play anywhere and it's good I can play in several positions as, hopefully, the manager can use me in different formations.
"The team has done well, they have had some great results and at the end of the day that's the important thing."
Buffel last played at Ibrox last December against Celtic and would love a reunion with Rangers' great rivals.
He said: "I have many good memories at Ibrox over the years and it would be fantastic if I could add to them."
