MLS Cup winners LA Galaxy have re-signed striker Edson Buddle.
The 30-year old USA international departed Los Angeles for German second division club Ingolstadt in January last year but has decided to head back to The Home Depot Center after a year away.
This off-season, Buddle trained with Premier League club Everton, but was unable to win a contract and is now delighted to be back home.
"When I left for Germany last winter, I said that I hoped to be able to one day return to the Galaxy and help lead the club to an MLS Cup championship. That day is today and I look forward to the challenges that now lie ahead.""I am thrilled to be able to return to MLS and a club that has meant so much to me in my career," Buddle said.
Buddle scored nine league goals in 31 appearances for Ingolstadt but has now returned to the club for whom he has scored more than 40 times in just under 90 outings.
