BT Sport has agreed a deal with Liverpool to broadcast the Premier League club's pre-season friendlies over the next month or so, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The deal began with coverage of Wednesday's 2-1 defeat against Danish club Brondby and will continue with Saturday's fixture at Preston.
A match against AS Roma, at Boston's Fenway Park, next Wednesday and a home game versus Borussia Dortmund on 10th August are also part of the deal.
Matthew Baxter, Liverpool FC's chief media officer, said: "We are thrilled to announce this partnership with BT Sport. The club has millions of followers across the UK, so it's important that we can ensure our fans are able to watch all of our pre-season games no matter where they are in the country. It's fantastic to be working with such a key UK sports broadcaster."
The games will be broadcast on BT Sport 1 and online, via the BT Sport app.
