BT Sport has announced it will provide live and exclusive coverage of England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's testimonial, reports www.sportspromedia.com/ BT Sport will air the match, which will see Gerrard's Liverpool take on Greek champions Olympiacos at Anfield on Saturday 3rd August, across the UK and Ireland.

All money raised from the event, including BT Sport's rights fee, will be donated to the Steven Gerrard Foundation, which supports children's charities in Merseyside and beyond.

"I am delighted that BT Sport will be showing my testimonial live and that this will help to raise more money for the important work of my foundation," said Gerrard.

Gerrard's testimonial will be the first live soccer shown by BT Sport following the network's launch this summer.
