Bryan intent on taking heart from Gerrard to make Man City bow

Manchester City youngster Kean Bryan has expressed his admiration for former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.

Loyalty in football these days is rare and players such as Gerrard are most certainly of a dying breed.

Many have admired Gerrard not just for his skills as a footballer but also for his unwavering loyalty to Liverpool and now City's Ryan has moved on to pay tribute to the Anfield legend.

Bryan stated that Gerrard was the heart of Liverpool and that he would like to replicate a similar feat in his own career with City. "Not because of his (Gerrard) football side - I wouldn't say I'm the same player as him - but it's the heart for the game and the heart for your club," he told the Manchester Evening News.

Bryan added: "I feel like this is my club, it feels like a home to me. I've been here since I was 11 years old so definitely it would be a great honour to be a first team player one day and win the first team shirt."
