West Bromwich Albion captain Chris Brunt admits next season could hinge on re-signing on-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku, who turned 20 on Monday, will play the final game of his season-long loan when the Baggies take on Manchester United at The Hawthorns on Sunday.

"If we can keep the squad together, make a few additions like we did last season, and hopefully hold on to 'Rom', there is no reason why we can't improve again next season," said Brunt.

"It would be quite difficult for us to replace his goals next season."
