The Northern Ireland winger told the club's website: "Marco has been up on his own for the last few games as well.
"He is a strong guy too, and he is good for me to play with, especially coming in from the right because you can play things into his feet and follow it into goalscoring areas.
"Because he is such a strong lad he holds the ball up well. He has been a big part of the system we are playing as well because of the physical side of his game.
"No disrespect to the other strikers we have got at the club, but he is the only player that can play that role for us at the minute. It has worked well.
"The results haven't always been there to show it for us but we are going in the right direction performance-wise. Only time will tell if it is too late or not."
