Bruno says former boss Emery ready for Arsenal challenge

Brighton captain Bruno Salter has backed Unai Emery to succeed at Arsenal.

Emery was announced as Arsene Wenger's successor on Wednesday. He spent the last two seasons with PSG and prior to that won three consecutive Europa League titles with Sevilla.

Bruno knows Emery well, having played under him for five seasons with Almeria and Valencia, and he believes the 46-year-old is ready for a gargantuan challenge at the Emirates.

"He is a really good manager", the Spaniard said. "He is a really hard worker. He loves to analyse every single team - it is one of best strengths.

"Arsenal will be a big challenge but I think he is ready to take this challenge.

"When you see someone with that passion, not scared about working, plus his talent, it is a perfect combination to be successful."
