Former Dutch striker Arnold Bruggink feels Karim Rekik is improving as a player at Manchester City.

Rekik is currently on-loan at Blackburn Rovers, though is yet to nail down a regular first team start.

Bruggink is convinced Rekik was right to leave Holland for City and is backing him to be one of the country's big stars in the future.

"Going to England is toughening him up," argued Bruggink. "He is already mentally stronger."
