Bruce will quit Birmingham if Yeung interferes

Steve Bruce will QUIT Birmingham City if prospective club owner Carson Yeung interferes in team selection.

Yeung, who bought a 29.9 per cent share in the Blues in July, had a reputation for meddling in first-team affairs at his previous club, Hong Kong Rangers.

Asked if he would tolerate any interference, Bruce told BBC Five Live: "You know the answer to that question.

"If someone tries to pick your team for you then I don't think that is for me."

Yeung is yet to meet Bruce, who says he is unsure when the takeover will be completed.

"He has bought a percentage of the club and by all accounts he will be ready to take over by the new year," explained Bruce.

"But you would have to ask him about that because I am a little bit left in the dark."
