Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce is proud of his record as manager at St Andrews as doubts persist over his future under prospective new owner Carson Yeung.
"It's quite ironic, coming this week, isn't it?" he smiles. "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time, I have to say," Bruce told the Birmingham Mail. "It's been very, very difficult this past couple of years, for various reasons. And we're in an uncertain situation at the minute, it's not ideal.
"I only think I'm half-way there, to be honest. If the next few years can be as good as the last few, then great. I would like to think that there have been significant improvements and people will think I've done a decent job.
"I am especially pleased with what's happened at the training ground. We can bring any player here now. The facilities, from where we were, are excellent.
"In terms of the squad, we've probably done three teams, which in itself is probably too quick. We had a team which got us up, we fiddled and farted around with that, and improved it. Then we had to go again after relegation, rip it to bits, and we're still rebuilding the present one.
"Mind, all this it sounds like I'm writing my obituary! I hope I will be sticking around for a lot longer, but we will see on that."
