Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce admits on-loan Honduras signing Wilson Palacios is pushing for a first team start.

"Wilson has got a lot to offer," said the Blues boss, who has already likened Palacios to a young Paul Ince. "We have seen a huge improvement in a month - what's he going to be like when he really gets his feet under the table?

"I think the kid's got a bit of everything. He's constantly knocking on the door and it's got to a situation where I can't leave him out.

"He did extremely well on his debut at Liverpool and he's carried it on."
