Hull City boss Steve Bruce insists Matty Fryatt can still have a future at the KC.
Fryatt scored for Sheffield Wednesday last week after his loan arrival.
"There's no reason why he couldn't play his way back in here. He can only benefit from this and once he gets match fitness he'll be fine," Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.
"I've never really seen him play. He was out for a year and we only got a look at him when he's coming back from injury.
"He needed to go out and play because I couldn't guarantee him that.
"I'm delighted for him. It must have been a sweet moment because he's been in some dark places for a long time. When you've done your Achilles like him it can be a long road back. Thankfully, he's got a goal and that should do him the world of good.
"It's a month to begin with but we'll review it and see what's next."
