Bruce hopes to welcome raft of new Sunderland signings in days

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce hopes to bring in a raft of new signings in the coming days.

The Black Cats expect a busy summer and hope to sign Darron Gibson from Manchester United - although deals for Wes Brown and John O'Shea are less certain.

Strikers David Ngog and Ji Dong-Won should arrive, while Bruce would love to add Tottenham's Peter Crouch to his squad.

Talks are at an advanced stage for free transfers Kieran Westwood and Seb Larsson and Bruce is also keen on Birmingham's Craig Gardner and Wigan winger Charles N'Zogbia.
