Steve Bruce does not see any problem with throwing Hull City's youngsters into action in the Championship this season.

Bruce has handed youngsters Greg Luer, Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, Matty Dixon and Brian Lenihan a chance to feature prominently during Hull City's pre-season this summer and the 54-year old will be happy to use his younger players during the upcoming Championship campaign as well.

Bruce said: "Are they ready for the Championship? Why not? A few of them have had really good pre-seasons and they can smell an opening.

"Good for them. They've got the bit between their teeth and that's exactly what I've been looking for. They've got to make sure they push the old ones now. That's vitally important."
