Bruce hails Sunderland home support after Bolton win

Steve Bruce hailed the home support after Sunderland’s 4-0 win over Bolton Wanderers last night.

More than 36,000 fans roared the Black Cats to victory and the final whistle sparked joyous scenes amongst a home faithful starved of results during a trying winter period.

And Bruce thanks the supporters for their backing after seeing his side end their winless run, telling SAFC-TV: "It can't have been easy for the fans over a long, difficult winter and we rewarded them tonight.

"I thank them again, they have been brilliant and I'm delighted we gave them something to shout about."

I think we have to give Steve Bruce a couple of seasons to build his team and to start getting the results he feels he can get with HIS SQUAD.

If I was Steve; I would also look at why we had so many injuries over the winter.
One reason could be the players have not been warm enough. I don't mean muscle wise! I mean the inner bone temperatures, (You may laugh ), though I have practiced competition Judo for many years and I noticed in winter; I sustained a lot more injuries, until I kept my body warm all day before training, I'm no Doctor but maybe players should be aware of keeping warm all day in cold weather conditions.

Great result against Bolton lads; keep it up.
