Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is delighted with the capture on long-term loan of defender Maynor Figueroa.

"We've got him on the long-term," he told setantasports.com. "We're delighted with him.

"The three South Americans are doing well, but we parked him for four or five months and I think that's the secret. You don't have to rush them â€" let them adapt.

"He's a very fine player.

"We're very pleased with him. He had his debut against Manchester United. I'm very pleased with all of them."
