Sunderland boss Steve Bruce believes they can rumble Liverpool's title hopes with victory today.
Bruce knows how difficult it is to land the title after helping Manchester United end 26 years without one.
He said: "With Manchester United, trying to win it for first time was the hardest. It has been 18 years now for Liverpool.
"I remember the year before we did it we fell to bits against Leeds and they went on to win it. It is amazing when the pressure comes on you. You need that experience to handle it and when you have done it and worn the T-shirt as Chelsea and United have done more than once it does get easier.
"It is the expectation at Liverpool to be always at the top end of the table but finishing second or third is not enough for their fans.
"They want to win back that title and believe me winning that first one will always be most difficult. I would not say it would kill them off if Sunderland win but it is very difficult now.
"They only lost twice last season and didn't win it which shows the standard. Scary isn't it? In my experience you can only lose four or five in a season.
"If we can beat them it would be a fantastic start for us, with quarter of season gone, to be above Liverpool."
