Hull City boss Steve Bruce is confident his players will benefit from their opening day defeat to Chelsea.
It was a tough baptism for Hull, who improved as the match wore on.
Bruce is optimistic his players will rise to the challenge in the Premier League.
"It's a wake-up call to us, if we ever needed it, that we've arrived on the big stage," Bruce said. "Some will shrink with it and some will grow into it and make a fist of it.
"I'm convinced the vast majority of them will make a fist of it and be successful."
