Bruce admits Sunderland stretched to limit for Spurs trip

Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says he'll see the strength of his squad this week at Tottenham.

Bruce reckons he is about to test his Sunderland squad to the max as he will be without banned Kenwyne Jones and Lorik Cana for next week's trip to Tottenham.

The Black Cats are also missing influential midfield enforcer Lee Cattermole, meaning the likes of rookie Jordan Henderson will again have to step up to the plate at White Hart Lane.

Bruce said: "That is the hardship we have to deal with. When you are missing Cana, Jones and Cattermole - who are a big part of our team - it's always going to be a struggle. But we just have to deal with it.

"We have no option, it's as simple as that."
