Hull City boss Steve Bruce has confirmed interest in Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason.

The midfielder said in June that he is determined to reclaim his place in Mauricio Pochettino's team but Bruce has stated that Mason would be of interest to the Tigers - if Spurs agree to a sale.

"I don't know if he's available," Bruce told the BBC. "But if he did become available then he's the sort of player who would interest us.

"But again for me its always difficult to talk about other players, in contract, because I've had no communication with Spurs at all.

"If he's available and we can afford him then I like Ryan Mason - he's the type of player who would do us great."
