Brown: Not rocket science to win over Hull critics

Hull boss Phil Brown admits nothing but hard work and results will get his critics back onside as his struggling team have won just twice in 29 Barclays Premier League matches after narrowly avoiding the drop last season. Brown said: "This year, with the slow start, confidence is at a premium, the support we are getting is at a premium. But it is a two-way street. We understand we have to acquit ourselves in the manner we have in the last two-and-a-half years to get the supporters behind us again.

"There is some complaining at the moment, and rightly so - your team gets beaten six at Anfield and four at home to Everton. They will have gripes and reason to moan but, as far as we are concerned, we are working very hard behind the scenes to put that right. It is quite a simple case of us, from minute one to minute 90, being 100% committed to the cause."
