Brown: Hull will finish in top half of table

Hull City boss Phil Brown is confident they will finish inside the top ten this season.

"We'll finish in the top half," he told Setanta's Football Matters. "Without a shadow of a doubt.

"If John Terry scores in the first minute, we could have been in for a hiding but he put it over the crossbar and you've got to ride your luck against the big boys.

"We did that and could've gone on to win the game and I was disappointed in the end we didn't.

"But it was a clean sheet against Anelka, Drogba, Quaresma, Kalou - the names roll off the tongue.

"It was a fantastic result and I hope we keep getting disrespected.

"It's always 'Chelsea played poorly, Arsenal played poorly, Manchester United played poorly'.

"You've seen us playing. Against West Ham, two or three weeks ago, the two strikers did not work hard enough and Geovanni was not at the races.

"We were chasing a lost cause and that's not us. Hull City are about hard work, getting in people's faces, and, if we continue like that until the end of the season, we'll be okay."
