Craig Brown admits he is "desperately disappointed" after being denied the opportunity to face former club Motherwell in his first game in charge of Aberdeen. But the new Dons boss had no complaints about the decision to postpone the Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash at Pittodrie as severe weather conditions once again wreaked havoc on the fixture card.
"It's a major disappointment but undoubtedly it's the right decision," he said.
"I don't think anyone would dispute the decision to call the game off but we are desperately disappointed because we felt we were ready to play Motherwell, our former team, and particularly with one of their key players, Steve Jennings, suspended."
