Aberdeen boss Craig Brown has praised the supporters of the club for coming out in droves on Boxing Day.
The Dons fans were right behind their team as they took on Hibernian at Easter Road on Sunday and the away support inspired the side to climb off the table with a 2-1 win.
Brown said it was a superb sight to see the Aberdeen fans excited despite their team's current position.
"It is a very good away victory in our opening game," he said.
"And what astonished me was the size of the away support. The vocal encouragement the team got was exceptional.
"I just want to thank the fans because for a team that had lost six in a row, I couldn't believe the size of support.
"Even during the warm-up they were applauding the team so I hope they are feeling quite proud on their way back to Aberdeen."
