The Hoops face the daunting prospect of Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry and Samuel Eto'o during Wednesday's Champions League last 16 clash.

Argie ace Messi hit out at Celtic's rivals Rangers after their group stage clash with Barca, describing their defensive tactics as "anti-football".

And Brown insists Gordon Strachan's side could be forced to play a similar type of game, just to keep Barca at bay.

The Scotland ace, 22, said: "They have so many great players.

"You think about trying to stop Henry but then you have to think about Deco, Messi, Eto'o.

"We need to defend well and hope we can hit them on the break. We have to make sure we don't conceded.

"That will give us a stepping stone to set us up and maybe nick a goal.

"We have done that to AC Milan before so why not? If we can play well against one team, then I am sure we can do it again.

"The pressure could then be on them, especially if their fans start booing them. That would be great for us."
