Brown back in action and ready to lead Celtic to double

Scott Brown is thrilled to be back to fitness ahead of the Scottish Cup final later this month.

The Celtic skipper has returned from an ongoing abductor problem ahead of schedule and is looking forward to leading the SPL champions into battle against Hibernian at Hampden on May 26.

"It means a lot to me and for the gaffer to give me a start it was really good," Brown told the Celtic View after starting the weekend's 4-0 league win over St Johnstone.

"I got 60 minutes under my belt and that's great with two big games coming up. "I wasn't expecting to start, not after my performances in training this week anyway, but I felt fine in the game.

"The gaffer told me early doors I was going to take part in the game but when I found out I was going to start I was delighted. This is a good couple of weeks ahead of schedule but everything's perfect now."
