The brother of AC Milan veteran Pippo Inzaghi says the striker will play on next season.

Inzaghi is leaving Milan in the summer.

Former Lazio striker Simone Inzaghi, now a youth coach with the club, told TMW: "Pippo has made history with Milan and is genuinely impacted by his departure.

"He is grateful to the Rossoneri for what they have done, but I think there is also gratitude from the club and the fans for him too.

"Pippo is still physically fit and knows he can play on for a couple more years. Managed in the right way he can still give so much to football.

"This year he had expected to play a bit more, but saying that, he was recovering from a very bad injury.

"He's not decided on his future yet, but he is aware that he can still give so much to the game."
