Barcelona have made a move for Benfica striker Jonas Goncalves.

The player's brother, Tiago, has revealed Barca's interest when speaking with Globoesporte.

"Someone on behalf of Barça called me to know about Jonas' situation," he said, "When a club is interested in a player you have to act fast, because negotiations take time to be finalised.

"As there was no further contact [from Barça], I find it difficult to reach a solution. We're flattered, of course, because it's recognition for the spectacular season that Jonas had.

"But if [a transfer is to happen], it would have to be an offer that satisfies both Jonas and Benfica."
